A MAN was badly beaten in a motiveless attack.
The 30-year-old man and a woman of 28 were standing outside Star Videos in Long Lane, Dalton, when a car with three men in went past.
The driver beeped the car horn, then turned around.
The men got out and started to shout and swear at the couple before attacking them.
Both were punched, but the man was knocked to the ground and kicked in the head several times.
His cheekbone was broken in four places and he also suffered severe bruising to his face and head.
The woman suffered a bruised cheek and swollen lip.
The attack happened between 7pm and 9pm on Wednesday, July 28, but details have only just emerged.
The attackers were in a blue, L-reg Ford Escort.
One of the thugs is white and the other two are mixed race.
