A WOMAN accused of stabbing her boyfriend through the eye with a stiletto heel denied a charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm today.

Staci Hargreaves, 33, from Stalybridge, Cheshire, was charged after Gavin Taylor, 28, was taken to hospital following the alleged attack in February.

Police said he suffered the injury in the back of a taxi while travelling home from a night out in Huddersfield,with Hargreaves.

Officers said the stiletto penetrated Mr Taylor's eye socket and touched his brain.

Hargreaves appeared for a brief hearing at Bradford Crown Court where she pleaded not guilty to the single charge.

She was remanded on bail to face trial at the same court on July 19.
