AN Elland nursery has received a glowing report from Government inspectors.
They say Waters Edge Private Day Nursery provides good-quality care for children and has well-trained and committed staff.
A report from Ofsted - the Office for Standards in Education - said the Park Road nursery offered a good range of activities for babies and children and had toys, furniture and equipment which helped them to learn through play.
The report said the building had been refurbished to high specifications, using quality fixtures and fittings.
Also, staff had high standards of safety and hygiene and menus provided variety and promoted healthy eating.
The nursery, which has been open three years next month, has places for 96 children aged from birth to five. it also has an out-of-school and holiday club.
The nursery is run by former Salendine Nook High School pupil Joanne Bradbury, 26.
She runs it with support from her parents, Chris and Stephanie Bradbury, of New Hey Road, Mount.
"We have a committed and dedicated staff who work as a team," said Joanne, who trained at Dewsbury College and worked at three nurseries in the Huddersfield area before opening the Waters Edge.
