A MAJOR event based on the popular TV series X-Factor is set to grace the streets of Huddersfield.
The Ashbrow Factor is part of a community- boosting scheme seeking to promote local talent.
It will be hosted by The Ashbrow Neighbourhood Learning Network, a group of community organisations, training providers and other groups.
The event will be at The Deighton Centre on Saturday, February 25 and is set to run all day.
It aims to encourage the community to get involved with the performing arts through educational and training opportunities.
People can expect a variety of entertainment, including African drumming, family first aid, face painting, Arabic dancing and nail art.
Throughout the day there will be auditions for the talent show to see which talented person has The Ashbrow Factor.
The talent show will be broadcast on Home 107.9 FM radio, along with Creative FM, who will be doing a live webcast.
The event is for the whole family and there are several prizes to be given away.
Morris Simpson, the network's development officer, said: "This event will be really good for the community.
"It will give people a chance to express themselves in many different ways.
"The event will portray the community in a positive light and encourage residents who have talents in the performing arts."
