HUDDERSFIELD holidaymakers travelling with young children this summer can make their journey less stressful thanks to some helpful tips from the NSPCC children's charity.
For the start of the school holidays, the NSPCC has launched its Travelling with Toddlers tips, a guide to help ease the pressures for parents and carers going on holiday with young children.
The NSPCC's head of child protection awareness Chris Cloke said: "While we go on holiday to relax, parents and children can find the journey unsettling and stressful.
"Our tips aim to cut down on family confrontation by making parents and carers aware of their child's travelling sensitivities and needs."
The guide aims to promote "positive parenting" skills and to remind parents that the behaviour of babies and toddlers is not naughty but normal.
