A TODDLER had to be freed from a car by firefighters after jamming the locking system.
The mischievous 18-month-old partially turned the key in the ignition of the Nissan Micra on Cross Green Drive yesterday morning.
The action somehow jammed the locking system and meant the spare key would not work.
Firefighters were called to help.
They had to smash a window and one scrambled into the car to turn the key in the ignition and free the youngster at 10.50am.
Sub-officer Alan Woodcock said: "The little lad had been in the car for an hour in all and thought it was quite funny when a firefighter crawled in alongside him."
