A PLEA has been made for a toilet at Sainsbury's Market Street store in Huddersfield.

Shopper Miss Anna Glowiak said: "Staff tell people to use the public toilet across the road because there isn't a toilet in the store.

"But many people don't like using that because it's virtually in the middle of the street.

"I know the only reason they don't have one is because of money but they make enough profit to at least provide one toilet."

Sainsbury's spokesman Paul Martin said: "At the moment there's nothing in place.

"But as part of our ongoing reinvigoration programme we are looking at all of our stores and, wherever possible, to provide toilet and changing facilities for mums.

"It is something that we will definitely consider but at the moment nothing is planned," he said.
