A HUDDERSFIELD woman has won a national award. Marcia Hutchinson, managing director of education firm Primary Colours, scooped the Social Enterprise of the Year title at the Precious Awards.

The awards celebrate the achievements of women from various ethnic backgrounds who run businesses in the UK. Mrs Hutchinson, MBE, set up Primary Colours in 1997 as a publishing company. Today it is a leading provider of culturally-inclusive teaching resources for schools across the UK. It also provides training for staff.
