It's less than a month until the Tour de Yorkshire makes it's sporting debut, with world famous cyclists preparing to speed through some of the county's prettiest spots.

The three stages of the race, held from May 1-3, will take in the east coast and North York Moors, cities including Leeds, York and Wakefield, and parts of Huddersfield and the Holme Valley.

Stage two of the race, to be held on Saturday May 2, will see cyclists hit the road in Selby, visiting some of Yorkshire's smaller towns and villages before finishing in historic York.

The174km (108 miles) route heads north east from Selby, completing a rough horseshoe route.

There will be spectator hubs in Wakefield, Malton and Pickering, and the cyclists will set off at 11:45am.

They are expected to cross the finish line between 3.30pm-4pm.

Stage one of the race, on Friday May 1, will be a 174km route from Bridlington to Scarborough.

Then on Sunday May 3, the final stage of the race will stretch 167 from Wakefield Leeds, taking in Slaithwaite, Holmfirth, Marsden and Ripponden along the way.
