A MAN was attacked by two others near Huddersfield town centre.

The 28-year-old was walking along Fitzwilliam Street about 1.30am on Sunday, after a night out with friends.

One man pushed him from behind and hit on the back of the head. His wallet was then snatched from his trouser pocket.

As he struck out to defend himself he was hit again on the right- hand side of his face by one attacker, who also tried to grab a gold chain from around his neck.

His wallet containing £80 and two credit cards.

A blue Nokia camera phone, worth about £150 was stolen.

One attacker was wearing dark-coloured tracksuit bottoms and the other had a white baseball cap.
