A man in his 20s has suffered serious injuries after he was in collision with a car on Dewsbury Ring Road this afternoon.
The incident happened on Whitehall Way at 3.30pm and police were alerted and closed the Ring Road causing severe traffic delays.
Yorkshire Ambulance service sent a rapid response car, ambulance, doctor and the Air Ambulance to the scene.
The air ambulance landed in Lidl car park and the casualty was assessed and flown to Leeds General Infirmary.
Traffic police have closed the road causing lengthy delays and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
