Tributes poured in to a young man killed in a crash.
The victim was named by friends on social media as Aaron Callum Vowles, who suffered fatal injuries when his Kawasaki motorcycle was in collision with a car in Kirkheaton.
Police are appealing for information following the fatal crash.
The tragedy happened at about 4pm yesterday, when the black Kawasaki motorbike was travelling along Bog Green Lane and crashed with a red Rover 45.
The rider, in his 20s, was treated by medical staff at the scene, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
The Rover driver, a man in his 60s, was unhurt.
The winding country road was closed for five hours as up to seven emergency vehicles attended the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw the movements of either vehicle prior to the collision, should contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team on 101.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said relatives were still being informed and further details would be released later.
