BEAUTIFUL triplet calves are delighting visitors to Hinchliffe's Farm at Netherton.
The week-old girls named Janie, Lanie and Debbie were delivered by Matt Grindall at Grange Farm, Meltham, and have been moved to Netherton for the public to see.
Mr Grindall said it was the first set of triplets he had seen in 30 years.
He said local vets had also been surprised at the births.
Daisy, a five-year-old Aberdeen Angus had the first of the calves around 7.30am and needed some help at lunchtime to give birth to the second. The third calf was a complete surprise and arrived in the afternoon.
"Daisy was as big as a house, and her symptoms were that she was having twins, but triplets are amazing," said Mr Grindall.
She is now feeding all three calves herself and is being given as much feed as she can eat to keep her in good condition.
She has only given birth once before, when she had a single calf.
The proud dad, Somerfield Lord, is a charolais.
