The adventures of Del Boy and Rodney beat the festive specials by comedy duo Morecambe and Wise in a poll carried out by the Radio Times.

The Vicar of Dibley came third, followed by The Office Christmas special.

The Two Ronnies - back on the BBC this Christmas - were in fifth place.

More than 6,000 Radio Times readers voted in the poll, which proved comedy is our favourite festive viewing.

EastEnders Christmas Day episodes came sixth - three places ahead of soap rival Coronation Street.

Top of the Pops and Noel's Christmas Presents also made the list, while The Queen's Speech came 10th.

Radio Times editor Gill Hudson said: "Christmas is perhaps the one time of the year where TV becomes a focus for the whole family, and the results of this poll show that first-class comedy is top of everyone's Christmas TV wishlist."
