A TEENAGE girl was hurt in a hit and run accident in Meltham.

A TEENAGE girl was hurt in a hit and run accident in Meltham.

The 14-year-old was knocked to the ground when a car mounted the pavement in Slaithwaite Road at 7.40pm on Monday evening and struck her.

She was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary with arm injuries.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 01484 436847.
