A three-year-old boy is in hospital after the mini-motorcycle he was riding crashed into a kerb.

Police said the boy, named as Trimayne Lewis, suffered a head injury in the crash on Elder Road in Bradley, on Sunday evening.

The youngster is said to be in a stable condition at Leeds General Infirmary. The bike was thought to be owned by the boy's father and both he and the youngster's mother at at his hospital bedside.

West Yorkshire Police have appealed to anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
