THE Disaster Duo return to TV screens next week.

Huddersfield's Darrel Sykes and Dave Clapperton will star in the new series of Disaster Masters, beginning on BBC1 at 7pm tomorrow.

Millions of viewers followed the exploits of Darrel and Dave - dubbed The Disaster Duo - in the first series shown last summer.

The documentary showed them helping to salvage flood-damaged property and assess insurance claims in the wake of floods and fires.

The new series - filmed last year - shows Darrel and Dave dealing with incidents across Kirklees and Calderdale.

They include tackling the damage caused by a burst pipe at the Thongsbridge showrooms of The Wood Flooring Company.

Darrel and Dave, who run specialist cleaning firm ChemDry, based at Longwood, will feature in five of the eight episodes in the new series.

The series, also featuring the work of plumbers and drain cleaners, is narrated by actor Tim Healy.

Darrel said: "People still come up to us in the street and say they recognise us from the first series.

"Being on TV has certainly helped business - and we must have made a good impressions on the programme- makers."
