A FARMING family from Scholes, Holmfirth, got the perfect pair of woolly jumpers for Christmas - twin lambs born on the big day.

Cross Heights Farm owners Cynthia Osborne, 61, and husband Lloyd, 65, were expecting a quiet Christmas.

But on Christmas Eve, one of their sheep gave birth to a lamb just before midnight.

At 7am the next morning, when the couple went to check on their livestock, they found twins born in the early hours and later that day discovered another lamb had been born.

Mrs Osborne said: "We were hoping they would have been born around December 20. Our grandson Harvey adores them. I think he wanted one as a Christmas gift."
