PART of Huddersfield bus station’s car park is to be closed for repairs.
Resurfacing will be carried out on the top two floors of the multi-storey car park off Upperhead Row.
The work will cause minimum disruption to drivers as the car park’s other floors will remain open.
This first stage of resurfacing the floors of the car park is expected to start soon.
But Kirklees Council has not yet given an exact date.
The work is expected to take 12 weeks.
Resurfacing in the rest of the car park, to repair general wear and tear, will be carried out in a rolling programme over the next two or three years.
The works follow on from the concrete repair and painting works to the car park parapet panels, the installation of new crash barriers and handrails on the edges of the decks and link ramps.
