Two men were taken to hospital following an alcohol-fuelled dispute in Huddersfield in the early hours of this morning (Monday).

The disturbance broke out at around 4.20am when a group of 12 males began fighting in Cross Church Street and King Street.

No weapons were involved. Two men suffered minor facial injuries and were taken by ambulance to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

Detective Andy Parr of Kirklees CID said: “We were called to pockets of sporadic disorder in Huddersfield Town Centre in the early hours of Monday morning.

“Two ambulances attended and two casualties were taken to hospital.”

“Enquires are ongoing and anyone who witnessed the incident should contact police on 101.”
