TWO people have appeared in court following an attack on a Batley landlord.
Ashley Hansen, 35, of Batley and a 17-year-old Batley boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been charged with wounding with intent.
The charges relate to an incident which occurred at 1am on Monday outside the Lord Nelson Inn on Cross Bank Road in Batley.
The landlord, a 57-year-old man, suffered serious head injuries.
He is currently in a serious but stable condition in Dewsbury District Hospital.
Hansen and the youth appeared at Huddersfield Magistrates' Court yesterday but did not enter pleas.
The case was transferred to be heard at Leeds Crown Court on January 5.
Both were given bail.
