TRAIN drivers' union ASLEF at First TransPennine Express (FTPE) has suspended a planned 24-hour strike which was due to begin at midnight.
FTPE said a normal timetable will operate tomorrow and customers should continue their journeys as planned.
FTPE and ASLEF have agreed to continue discussions "with no pre-conditions attached". New negotiations over pay will now begin, commence.
