EXCITING artworks will appear and then disappear at an innovative event planned for the University of Huddersfield.

The Pop Up Art School is on Monday, and will feature works made from a huge array of recycled material.

But it will vanish by the end of the day. The show is the brainchild of senior lecturer Sarah Williamson, of the University’s school of education.

She said the idea came after she read about “Pop Up” restaurants and shops which have become wildly popular in places such as London and New York.

“The idea is to create hype, to ‘pop up’ and hold a fantastic but temporary event, and disappear.

“At our art event we will run drop-in activities throughout the day, inviting students, staff and visitors from across the campus to come and engage in art, design and craft,” said Sarah.
