YOUNG people celebrated their achievements during an event at the National Children’s Centre in Huddersfield.

African drummers provided entertainment during the celebration of the first year of the V6 Vision Project.

The two-year project works with young people aged between 10 and 19 who are not in mainstream education.

It is run by Shap, which runs housing support services, and is funded through the government’s Youth Sector Development Fund with partners including Lifeline, National Children’s Centre, Inroads, Northorpe Hall, Serendipity Arts and the Community United Project.

The celebration included a variety of entertainment, films and activities.
