Designer handbags and jewellery of “significant financial value” have been stolen in a burglary in Huddersfield.

The haul included gold and silver watches, valuable handbags, a laptop computer and iPad.

They were taken from a home in Newland Avenue, Birkby, last month, and police are appealing for help in tracing the goods.

Burglars entered the property on the afternoon of May 3 and stole a Michael Kors handbag, Valentino shoes, described as pink/nude with gold studs, a black quilted Chanel handbag, a gold Marc Jacobs ladies watch, a silver Michael Kors ladies watch, a silver Hugo Boss men’s watch, a Sony Playstation 4, Samsung laptop and an iPad.

Pc Daniel Ashton, from Huddersfield CID, said: “There were a number of items stolen during this incident and some of significant financial value.

“A number of the items are distinctive and we hope that by releasing some images of them, they will be recognised. I would urge anyone who has any information or has been offered or been sold any items to come forward.”
