FIRE CREWS had a busy Bonfire Night across West Yorkshire.
They received more than 460 calls throughout the evening and night – but only a handful involved any property.
Eleven of the fires caused damage to buildings and five were vehicle fires.
Dozens of other calls were to small fires including bonfires. A brigade spokesman said: “It was a very busy evening and into the night but there have been no significant incidents.”
In Huddersfield, fire crews were called to a house in Bradley Mills Road where a row of conifers was set on fire.
A rocket being set off in the garden fell over and set fire to the trees. A stray firework was also blamed for a fire which damaged shrubs and fencing in the garden of a house in Malham Road, Rastrick.
