A MAN is still recovering in hospital after a fracas at a Huddersfield town centre bar.

Trouble erupted at the Lloyds Bar on King Street at 11.15pm on Friday and police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Two Berry Brow men in their mid-20s were hurt - one of them so seriously he lost consciousness.

This man, who suffered neck wounds, is still being treated at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

The other victim, who suffered a broken nose, was allowed home from hospital.

A police spokesman said: "These were nasty assaults and the pub was very busy. We would urge anyone who saw what happened to come forward."
