A 23-YEAR-OLD man needed hospital treatment for a head wound after being attacked by a mugger in Dewsbury.
The victim was walking home at Halifax Road, Kilpin Hill, carrying his snooker cue in a case when he was attacked at 12.30am on Sunday.
The robber attacked and stole his snooker cue, then returned minutes later while the victim was still on the ground.
He threatened him again and stole his watch.
A police spokeswoman said: "We believe the suspect was standing with a woman at a bus stop on Halifax Road, close to the static speed camera, immediately prior to the offence."
The attacker is white, 5ft 7ins, in his late 20s with a spotty complexion and light coloured hair.
He wore a cap with a white logo on it, dark blue jeans and a checked lumberjack shirt.
