A house has been sealed off in Marsh as part of an ongoing police investigation.

The home on Luck Lane had a police guard both at the front and back all day today.

It is understood the inquiry is being led by West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team that investigates serious crime.

But mystery shrouds exactly what the inquiry is probing.

Back of house under police guard at Luck Lane in Marsh

Insp Ben Ryder from West Yorkshire Police said late this afternoon: “We arrested a 34-year-old man in regards to an ongoing investigation into an incident earlier in the year.”

He confirmed the investigation was still ongoing.

Luck Lane resident Bob Jackson, 75, said several police vehicles arrived at the mid terraced house mid morning.

“There were no sirens or anything like that,” he said. “There were at least two panda cars and an unmarked police car. The house has been under police guard ever since then.”

As dusk fell all the lights could be seen on inside the house and it appeared as though plain clothes investigators were searching through the home.

It is believed a woman and child live at the house.
