A woman has been arrested after a man was stabbed in the shoulder at a house in Hillhouse.
Police were called to Willow Lane, off Bradford Road, in the early hours today - Tuesday - by the ambulance service.
A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
A woman, also aged 23, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and will be interviewed by detectives today.
Det Insp Ian Thornes, of Huddersfield CID, said police were called at 1.12am after reports of a disturbance.
The scene was taped off this morning and part of the road was closed. Police were guarding the scene.
It is unclear whether the man was stabbed inside or immediately outside the house where he lives.
Mr Thornes appealed for any neighbours or anyone in the area at the time who may have seen or heard what happened to come forward.
