OLDER people's health will be at the fore in a fair and exhibition in Milnsbridge.
The fair's aim is to promote health, social and care services available in the area.
It is aimed at providing advice and help for older people living in Milnsbridge, Cowlersley, Botham Hall, Golcar, Paddock and Longwood.
The event will be opened by Clr Margaret Fearnley, the chairman of Kirklees Council's Colne Valley Area Committee.
It is open to all.
Clr Fearnley said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for older residents of Colne Valley to find out more about staying healthy and enjoying life to the full.
"I hope that many will come and join us."
The event will be at Milnsbridge Village Hall, Armitage Road, from 11.30am to 3pm. Refreshments will be available.
The day has been organised by the area committee with the South Huddersfield Primary Trust as part of their commitment to health and older people.
There will be a large number of exhibitors at the event, giving advice on a wide range of subjects, such as nutrition and diet, keeping warm, pensions, exercise, social and environmental services, homeopathy, incontinence and Alzheimer's disease.
Anyone needing transport to the village hall on the day or wanting more information should phone Valerie Wartelle on 01484 226738.
