HUNDREDS of plastic ducks will be racing down the River Colne as part of Marsden's Cuckoo Day fun.
The National Trust are contributing to the day's event on Saturday, April 24, by organising the duck race in the afternoon.
Philip Thompson, chairman of the organising committee, said the event started at 4pm from Mellor Bridge, next to St Bartholomew's Church. The winner receives £200.
There will be a range of activities including craft stalls, children's entertainments, floats, tea dances and clog and Morris dancing.
Cuckoo Day is held to herald the coming of spring.
