A GOLCAR playgroup is celebrating after receiving a glowing report from Ofsted education inspectors.
St John's Playgroup, based at St John's C of E Junior and Infant School on Leymoor Road, was inspected on January 17 and has just received the results.
The playgroup was ranked "very good" overall.
The planning of activities and resources was praised, as was the quality of teaching and the management of children's behaviour.
The leadership and management's relationship with parents were described as very good.
The playgroup runs morning sessions for three to five-year-olds from Monday to Friday.
Afternoon sessions are run from Monday to Thursday for two and three-year-olds.
The 58 children are looked after by two supervisors and two managers.
One of the managers, Lesley Holmes, said: "The report is fabulous.
"It is all down to teamwork. We have a really good relationship with parents. We've also got lovely children here, which makes the job easier."
