SEVERAL roads in Clayton West will close over the next few weeks.

This is so a major £400,000 maintenance scheme can be completed.

Sunday, October 21, will see the temporary closure of Scott Hill between

Long Lane and Church Lane, so resurfacing work can be done safely.

Scott Hill will also be closed on Sunday, October 28.

Sundays, November 4 and 11 will see the closure of a section of High Street between Bilham Road and Hill Top Terrace.

Finally, Bank End Lane will be closed on Sundays, November 18 and 25 between Upper Common Lane and Hollin House Lane.

Alternative routes will be signed and drivers are asked to leave extra time for their journeys.

Improvements to highway drainage and pavements have been progressing in this area for several months.

The road resurfacing will complete the scheme.
