MOTORISTS faced disruption after a crash at one of Huddersfield’s busiest junctions.

A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital suffering from minor neck and back injuries after his Ford Focus was involved in a collision at the traffic lights on Wakefield Road at the junction with St Andrew’s Road in Aspley. His car and a BMW 320 crashed at about 7am yesterday. Police were called and closed one lane of the busy road. Further problems were caused when an ambulance called to take the man to hospital broke down. The 47-year-old woman who was driving the BMW was unhurt.
