THE Walk-In Centre for the treatment of minor injuries and illnesses at Dewsbury and District Hospital has moved to within the A&E department.

The move yesterday saw the Kirklees Walk-In Centre relocated a short distance within the grounds of the hospital.

The service is remaining the same and the only thing that patients have to do differently is book in at reception in A&E rather than at Woodkirk House.

The facility will now be known as The Locala Walk-In Centre. This follows the transfer of local community health care services from Kirklees Community Healthcare Services (KCHS) to Locala Community Partnerships.

The Walk-In Centre service is available 9.00am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday and 10.00am to 6.00pm Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.

The team of experienced health professionals can offer assessment, advice and treatment of minor injuries and illnesses.
