A CHARITY has asked walkers to help raise money.

The British Heart Foundation is looking for volunteers to tackle the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales.

Last year 33 teams climbed Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon, raising £47,000 for the charity.

Event organiser Helen Whitely said: “As well as going through some fantastic scenery and enjoying the company of other like-minded walkers, their efforts will be helping us to fight heart disease.”

Teams of four to seven people can take part in the challenge on June 28 and 29.
