A WALKING club has organised a 25-mile event to raise money for charity.
The Woodfield Walkers - the Huddersfield police walking club - will be doing the walk around the Holme Valley to raise funds for the Sturge Weber Foundation.
Sturge Weber is a rare neurological disorder that is usually indicated by a port wine stain birthmark on the face, usually involving the eye and forehead. Victims often suffer from epilepsy, hemiplegia and learning difficulties.
The sponsored walk will be held on Sunday, July 4. All entrants have to do is pay a £10 entry fee which includes a route description, cloth badge and refreshments. Every penny will go to the charity.
To enter the walk contact Mr Grahame Tansey on 01484 532560.
Alternatively write to him with your £10 entry fee and stamped, self-addressed envelope at 18 Park Lea, Bradley, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD2 1QH.
