Beware bogus charity collector
POLICE are warning people to be aware of a bogus charity collector. A man going door-to-door in the Denby Dale area is claiming to be collecting on behalf of the Rotary Club. The white man, in his 60s, displays what appears to be a home-made ID badge. He has been asking for donations for an event to be held at Denby Dale Pie Hall. But police and the Rotary Club say he is not connected to them and they have not been knocking on doors asking for money. Anyone who knows the man is asked to call police on 101.
