This video footage and amazing new pictures capture the full devastation of the floods between Brighouse and Elland .
Our photographer Simon Morley walked along the Calder and Hebble Navigation Canal near Cromwell Bottom and saw two sunken canal boats .
New pictures show full force of floods
Only the roofs can be seen on both after they became totally overwhelmed by the floods which struck on Boxing Day.
Nearby is the old Crowther Bridge and the damage to the archway which has been completely torn away from the rest of the structure shows the immense power of a torrent of floodwater.
And the pictures show the full force of the flooding which sunk canal boats and also left one on the bank of the canal in the trees once the water had subsided. Two barges can clearly be seen going under as they were swept along.
