The year 1990 brought with it the debut of Rowan Atkinson's Mr Bean, the Poll Tax Riots, the end of Magaret Thatcher's record-breaking stint as prime minister and the birth of the Channel Tunnel!

Meanwhile in Huddersfield, budding Jerry Halls and Yasmin le Bons took to the stage at Newsome High School for a fashion show, Crosland Moor kids explored the new Walpole Community Centre adventure playground and brothers Shaun and Jonathan Heeley spent an interesting weekend in the middle of a dam for charity!

We've gone back into the archives to dig up some gems from the summer of 1990, from school charity drives to 100th birthday celebrations and even a giant bar of chocolate.
