“PLEASE come home.”

Those are the powerful words from the wife of missing Scholes man Neil Bryson as she appealed for her husband to get in touch and return home.

Mr Bryson, 50, was last seen at home on Wadman Road on at 6.30am on November 27.

Police carried out major search operations to find him, particularly in the area of Yateholme Reservoir where his car was found abandoned the day after he went missing.

His wife yesterday appealed for him to get in touch.

Janice Bryson said: “Neil, I just want you to know how much I love you and want you home. It’s OK to come home. We can work through whatever has happened.

“Me and the boys want you to come home so please get in touch and tell me you are OK. Please come home.”

Neil is described as white, around 6ft tall, slim, bald on top and with black hair around the side.

When last seen he was wearing a dark coloured suit with a shirt and tie with a dark brown Barbour style coat on top of his suit.

Police mounted a full-scale hunt involving the force helicopter and later called in search and rescue volunteers with dogs to search wooded areas after darkness fell.

Expert divers also carried out an underwater search at Yateholme Reservoir two days after Mr Bryson’s disappearance.

Scottish-born Mr Bryson used to work at St Luke’s Hospital, Crosland Moor, where he specialised in mental health.

He now works in a managerial role with dementia patients in Bradford.

Yateholme is a heavily wooded rural area.

It is best known for its Victorian reservoir which has recently been renovated.

The area is popular with hikers, bikers and dog walkers.

Mr Bryson, or anyone who sees him, is asked to contact the Missing Persons Co-ordinator at Kirklees police on 101.
