THERE are TV roles for two Huddersfield men this weekend.

First up, later today, is Milnsbridge engineer Ben Julien, who is back for another appearance on Winter Wipeout.

And tomorrow evening, young dancer Ess Green is back bidding for a place in the finals of Sky TV’s Got To Dance series.

Ben, 23, is back on screens at 6pm tonight as BBC1 televises a special edition of Winter Wipeout – the spin-off from the hugely-popular Total Wipeout game show.

Ben featured in the show last autumn when he won his contest after being filmed out in Argentina.

Now he and the other champions from the various shows are being brought together for a “Champion of Champions” showdown.

The show will have a winter theme, but was filmed in the warmth of Argentina.

It is hosted by Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond and his sidekick, Amanda Byram.

Meanwhile, Deighton’s Sheridan “Ess” Green will be joining his dance troupe in tomorrow’s Got To Dance semi-finals.

The fashion designer is one of a promising street dance crew, The A-Team, who are hoping for TV stardom.

Ess, 21, who has been dancing since the age of 11, joined the A-Team four months ago.

He attended the former Bradley Primary School and went on to Huddersfield New College where he pursued dance.

The hip-hop team was put together for the big Sky competition. Many of the dancers had danced together in previous street dance contests or had competed against each other.

A spokesman for the group said: “The A-Team’s semi-final performance will be hugely different from their audition piece.

“They believe the routine will remove the label of them being just a trick crew.

“We want to create history on this show. The aim is to have a memorable moment”.

The Got To Dance shows are being broadcast from Pinewood Studios and the show goes out at 6pm tomorrow on Sky 1.
