A PENSIONER has told of her astonishment after receiving a postcard sent 39 years ago.

Elaine Jackson, who is in her 60s and lives in Cambridge, said the card had been posted by her aunt, Winnie Blampied, from Amsterdam in 1965.

"It's just astonishing," said Mrs Jackson.

"The card was addressed to my parents. They've been dead nearly 20 years and my aunt, who lived in Jersey and was on holiday in Holland, has been dead 10 or 12 years.

"Why has it turned up now? I wrote to the post office to ask about it but they didn't reply."
