The attack took place in between 3.20 and 3.40pm on Friday when male occupants from two vehicles became involved in an argument.

One was seen pulling a weapon from out of a car before assaulting another 32-year-old male, causing injuries to his head.

The attacker fled the scene and the victim was rushed to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

"Anyone with any information can call the police on 101."
