POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was robbed at knifepoint in Almondbury.

The attack happened on Aldonley at just before 7pm on Wednesday.

The 18-year-old victim was walking towards the road’s junction with Hurst Knowle.

A man grabbed him and forced him to the floor.

The teenager resisted but another man joined in and produced a knife.

The two then took the victim’s navy blue duffle coat, which contained his mobile phone and wallet.

They then made off up Aldonley towards Hurst Knowle.

The teenager was left with bumps to his head.

He thinks he may have injured one of the two men whilst defending himself.

One of the men is described as white, aged 15 to 20 and 5ft 8ins tall.

He was wearing a jacket which was half grey and half sky blue.

The second person is also described as white.

He was wearing a black tracksuit and the lower part of his face was covered.

Witnesses are asked to contact Det Con Peter Usher at Huddersfield CID on 101.
