A PENSIONER was hurt in an accident with a lorry in Leeds Road, Bradley Mills.
The 70-year-old woman was crossing near the junction of Leeds Road and Canal Street at 1.04pm yesterday when she was in collision with the lorry.
She was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary with broken ribs and head injuries.
Initial fears that the woman's injuries were life threatening proved false and she is now in a stable condition.
One lane of Leeds Road was closed while police investigated the accident.
