A WOMAN was attacked by a thug in Huddersfield bus station.

The 24-year-old victim from Halifax was walking through the station at 10.45am yesterday when she was confronted by a teenager who swore at her and then punched her in the face.

He is African-Caribbean, aged 18 or 19, 5ft 8ins with short, black frizzy hair and a spotty complexion.

* A 29-year-old woman from Bradley was attacked in an alleyway in Huddersfield town centre.

She was dragged from the street and punched in the alleyway next to the Revolution Bar on Cross Church Street shortly after 8.30 last night.

The woman suffered a swollen and bruised face and was due to go to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary today for X-rays.

Police are seeking a man in connection with this incident.
