Woman hit by train at Slaithwaite

The incident means lines between Huddersfield and Stalybridge are closed

A woman has been hit by a train at Slaithwaite this morning.

The incident, which is believed to have happened at around 8.15am, means lines between Huddersfield and Stalybridge are closed.

Witnesses at Slaithwaite Railway Station say there are a number of emergency vehicles at the station.

Route affected are First TransPennine Express trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Hull / Scarborough as well as Northern Rail services between Manchester Victoria and Huddersfield.
