A PENSIONER is in hospital after being knocked down in Greetland.
The 77-year-old woman was injured in the incident, which occurred at the junction of Rochdale Road and Green Lane, in Greetland and involved a VW Touran car.
She suffered a broken leg and head injuries and was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The accident happened just before midday on Saturday.
The driver of the VW Touran was an elderly Greetland man, who was reportedly driving slowly at the time.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on the non-emergency 101 number.
